Between the Lines.  Old Gala House, Galashiels. 28th March – 30th May 2020  Cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic but became an an online exhibition for the duration. Curated by myself and Rachel Davis.

Working on a project with a local boy with ADHD, to make a 3d Mosaic tiger for display in Art in the Garden, New Hopetoun Garden Centre, West Lothian this summer. (put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic)

2012-2015:  Gertrude.

A three year project exploring the life of my grandmother who spent 45 years in an asylum in Bristol, diagnosed with chronic schizophrenia. This project culminated in the exhibition in a joint show with Michael Jessing at The Gallery, Tweeddale Museum, 2015. This exhibition included  mosaics, paintings, sculptures, film and was accompanied by the book Gertrude. This project also included the live performance Gertrude – a Life coupled with the film I Call Her Gertrude, which was shown at Glenside Campus, UWE, Bristol  2015 and at Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre, Peebles 2014. Workshops across the Borders were carried out with members of New Horizons and an exhibition of members work was held at Eastgate Theatre and Arts centre in 2014.

 

Awards

South of Scotland Visual Artist and Craft Makers Award 2015 and 2013 funded by Creative Scotland, Dumfries  and Galloway Council  and Scottish Borders Council, for developing the films I Call her Gertrude and Why did Jonah swallow the Whale? Both are part of the project Gertrude.
